PASSIONATE HEAT is now available from Ravenous Romance

I am so excited to annouce the arrival of my newest Ravenous Romance (and my first romantic suspense) PASSIONATE HEAT.

Elle Amery, author of Grace on Fire, says "As a fan of gorgeous firefighters, I'm thrilled with Rachel Kenley's smokin' hot hero, Miles Anderson. Passionate Heat is a hot and sensual read, well paced and with characters you'll grow to love. I'll be the first in line to buy the next book in this series"

A troubled past

When Miles Anderson left Glenway, he never wanted to see the small town again. Labeled a troublemaker and a no-account because of his parents, he was ready to move on with his life. But he didn't think his decision would mean he'd never see Jillian Wagner again either. After Miles was gone, Jillian turned to the wrong people for support and lost her dreams in the process.

An unexpected return

Now an arson and explosion expert, Miles is asked by an old friend and father figure to come home and help put an end to a suspicious string of fires. He agrees, only to discover more than burned out buildings. Jillian is still there, no longer the dancer she once dreamed of becoming, and newly divorced. As buildings in Glenway continue to burn, Miles cannot help but think Jillian is a target.

A fight for the future

Jillian never expected to see Miles again. She had made peace with her past - mistakes and all - and was ready to move on. With his return, however, comes an abundance of old feelings, starting with anger and swiftly moving to desire and love. Miles never thought he could have a home, but with Jillian in his life again, everything is different.Because nothing burns hotter than a rekindled love.http://www.ravenousromance.com/

Getting the hang of the blog world

Hello all - today I'm blogging about blogging. I know it's a great way to connect and let people know what's happening in my world - writing and other - but much more than that.. well, insert a shrug. I had no idea I could connect to other blogs, have people connect to mine, find ones that are about similar topics. There's a lot more to blogging that trying to come up with something interesting to say.

Which... I dont think I have today.

News about my next release - PASSIONATE HEAT coming soon!!

Happy connection,
Rachel

Too long between posts

I know... but I've been very busy and a lot of that has been writing!

Since my last post the SPELLBOUND anthology came out at http://www.ravenousromance.com and my short story JUST'S DESSERTS, which is in the Ambrosia Anthology, was released as a separate short story.

So, what am I working on now? I''ve finished the first book of a contemporary series and it's my first romantic suspense. I'd tell you the title, but it's being changed :) so you'll have to wait a little to find out about it. The good news is you wont have to wait long for Miles' and Jillian's story because it's coming out in a few weeks. I promise to post an excerpt soon.

As I was writing, I discovered Miles' had two brothers, Zack and Jason, and they are getting their own books and their own happily ever afters. Look for those later this year.

Next up, I'm in the process of writing DESTINY'S JOURNEY, the second story in the DESTINY series. This is Omri and Aviva's story, two people destined to... get on each others nerves. And, yes, fall in love.

I hope you're all finding success in your life.

Now... I need some sleep!

Warmly,
Rachel

Release day

Today is my second release day with Ravenous Romance (http://www.ravenousromance.com) and DESTINY'S JEWEL is now available to download. It's not ready as an audio book yet, but will be soon.

DESTINY'S JEWEL is the first book in the DESTINY series and features Kyra L'orrac and Ellard J'aron. Here's the blurb:

Kiera L'orrac was committed to her assignment: stay on Earth and guard the Stone of Destiny and keep it from the magician who sought it. She knew magicians weren’t to be trusted. Her mother had left them for one and her brothers death had been caused by another. But Ellard J'aron wasn’t what she was expecting.

As the incoming vizier, Ellard must retrieve the Stone of Destiny, a star sapphire, as well as its sister stones and return it to his home where it belongs in the scepter of his king. If it is not there for the coronation, he will lose his life and his family will be banished from their home. He thought it would be a simple matter of taking it from the navel of the woman on whom it rested, but when she turns out to be it’s guard, he decides to take her with him to find out who is trying to overthrow the monarchy.

Ellard brings Kiera with him as he travels to recover the other stone. Forced to work together they find that together they have an attraction they can’t fight. Kiera has never before wanted a lasting relationship with any man, nor does she like giving up control, but Ellard touches her heart, making her long for love. Ellard feels the same way, but those who hold the position of vizier are prohibited from marrying. He will need to either find a loophole in the law or lose the only woman he has ever loved.

I'll post a link to the excerpt soon and tell you more about the DESTINY series in a future posting. The next book, DESTINY'S JOURNEY, will be released in 2009 from Ravenous Romance.

In the meantime, if you have any questions for me, I can be found at rachel kenley @ gmail. com (no spaces.).
